Buenos Aires Bloom and Blip

More than a blip on the tourism chart, Buenos Aires is constantly in the top ten of travel destinations. After its currency received an economic beating in 2001, it went from pricey to budget and is enjoying an economic bloom thanks to the influx of travelers.  It is that good, I live here and love it, but not for tango or even for steak and wine that is amazing for the price. It is great for its circus performers, its hidden vintage shops, secret restaurants, and faded luxury manses. It’s a city rife with the good old days, in a world where much of that element is being wiped away. Its counterparts can be found in the former Eastern Block, minus the hot Latin men and lovely local music.
